Boating the Mississippi can be a daunting task, and rightfully so in some instances. Rocks, trees and other unseen obstacles can hide under the surface in some places. That’s why it’s advantageous to consider using a jet boat. Jet boats do not have out drives or props – they’re propelled by an intake and water pump. They are safe and don’t pose the same risk as conventional prop boats of striking underwater obstacles, which makes them ideal for effectively navigating the Mississippi.
